Module code: PL2011
Where do political ideas come from? What are the key concepts and developments behind the most important theories of our time? How do the original texts line up with academic literature? You'll explore these issues, and many others, in this module.
This module will introduce you to the arguments and concepts developed by prominent political thinkers, and how they've influenced political theory at large. You'll analyse their writings using the original texts as your source and integrate their ideas with the academic literature written about them. You'll also evaluate the social contract model of political theory.
