Spacecraft missions are key to our exploration of the solar system, global observation of the Earth and its climate, and studies of the more distant universe. Space missions push engineering technology to its limits. This module provides an in-depth treatment of the methods of conducting scientific measurements and observations in the space environment, the technologies needed for space missions and their design, spacecraft instrumentation techniques, and some of the Earth and planetary science possible with such missions.
