Business Finance and Reporting

In order to make decisions, businesses need to evaluate their past, present and future. They'll pore over financial accounts, to understand their previous and present performance, and forecasts and calculations of their future financial performance. This module will introduce you to business finance and reporting - two vitally important areas of any business.

At the end of this module, you'll be capable of identifying and discussing the range of financing options available to a variety of national and international enterprises. You'll be able to define the role of accountancy in society and the values that govern its practice. You'll be adept at evaluating how financing and accountancy influence decisions in organisations and impact the sustainability of an enterprise. Furthermore, you'll be capable of critiquing managerial methods of measuring value.
