The Leicester Institute for Advanced Studies Network and Tiger Team cohort call

The Leicester Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS) is pleased to announce that the next call for Networks and Tiger Teams is now live.

The Leicester Institute for Advanced Studies LIAS is dedicated to creating a collaborative and inspiring research environment, bringing together researchers from across disciplines to deliver ambitious and transformative research. Through our funded Networks and tiger teams, we aim to break down the silos that have traditionally been a feature of higher education research, enabling academics to explore challenging and innovative ideas, and to stimulate increased ambition.

LIAS Research Networks scheme is intended to support forums for new collaboration, discussion, and exchange of ideas on a specified thematic area, issue or research challenge. Networks may apply for up to £15K per year for up to two years. Through our funded tiger teams, we aim to break down the silos that have traditionally been a feature of higher education research, enabling academics to explore new, highly innovative ideas, and to stimulate increased ambition through interdisciplinary collaboration. Tiger teams may apply for up to £5,000 for up to six months. The call deadline is 15 July 2019. Please apply using the guidance (PDF, 202kb) and application form (Word, 39kb).

We are also delighted to announce that we will be co-funding a small number of intensive three month tiger teams with the Centre for BME Health. The call deadline for this strand of the scheme is 31st May 2019.
