Life on campus
Reminiscing about O2 Academy nights out? Last stepped onto campus in 2020? Whether you’ve been here for years or not been able to check out the University yet, COVID-19 has not stopped our campus redevelopment with new spaces and places to study and socialise. Percy Gee is bigger and better – home of our spacious new food court, the place to go for student support services, a dedicated informatics lab and the Students' Union. Brookfield, home to the School of Business, has been transformed into a state of the art satellite campus. And Freemen's Common, next to our University Road site, will provide high tech learning spaces and modern living, including games area, cinema suite, cafe and green spaces, fully open in 2022.
We’ll be offering a full social programme from September – including societies, sports, O2 Academy club nights and job opportunities. Meet; make memories. Belong and connect. And Welcome is not just for freshers. We’ve got lots to share with you including meeting student groups, campus and city tours and wellbeing support. Find out what’s on offer on our Welcome website.
Anxious about returning? We understand. Our student support programme remains in place. There’ll always be someone to talk to.
Speak out if you are worried. Call, email or drop-in to your University accommodation site reception any time day or night. Our residential advisers are also here if you need a chat. We also have dedicated support in place from our Student Support Services and our Student Services Centre, in Percy Gee.
