Teaching on campus

We have developed guidance to support teaching staff to deliver face-to-face elements of their teaching safely as we transition out of the COVID-19 pandemic. View the teaching on campus guidance in full (log-in required)

Except where specific approval has been granted to study remotely, the University expects all students on campus-based programmes to attend in-person teaching on campus. It is expected that staff will deliver in-person teaching on campus if they are able to.

Support is provided for staff who are at increased risk or anxious about returning.

Safety measures including ventilation and hand sanitiser will be in place. You can see the type of ventilation that is in place (log-in required) along with an indication of room capacities. Students are expected to wear face coverings in teaching and crowded spaces, unless exempt. Neale Goff, Director of Health and Safety Services, has produced a video (log-in required) outlining what has been put in place across the University to ensure your safety.

The Department for Education has provided guidance on the approach to teaching and learning in higher education.
