Read at Leicester

Since 2016 our students and staff have been brought together to be part of a collective reading community through Read at Leicester.  Throughout the year Read at Leicester holds activities to create discussion and conversation across our University about books and reading, films, theatre, games, poetry and art.

We celebrate commemorative occasions such as Black History Month, LGBT+ History Month, World Book Day and many more through events, blog posts, book and film reviews and recommendations and through the Read at Leicester Podcasts. Look out for our interesting and inspiring events which are publicised throughout the year.

Our leisure reading collection has been built on student recommendations through Represent, which features authors from underrepresented voices.
