As of Friday 1 April, Government messaging does not distinguish COVID-19 from other respiratory infections.
If you feel unwell, or have the symptoms of a respiratory tract infection, or have tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend your graduation ceremony and follow Government guidance. You can let us know you’re unable to attend by emailing email@example.com.
We encourage face coverings
We encourage (but not require) the use of face coverings, especially in crowded, enclosed settings, both at the University and De Montfort Hall.
Please take a test
Whilst it is no longer mandatory, guests aged 12 and above are strongly encouraged by De Montfort Hall to either be fully vaccinated or to have had a negative test (rapid lateral flow or PCR) result within 48 hours of visiting the venue. Even if you are vaccinated, it is highly recommended to take a test before your visit.
Guests, please have your ticket ready
Only ticket holders will be allowed into the venue for our graduation ceremonies. If you have guests who would like to share your special day with you but who do not have tickets for the ceremony at De Montfort Hall, they are very welcome to visit campus on the day and celebrate your graduation with you before and after the ceremony. They can also watch the livestream of our ceremonies at a location on campus.
Please use hand sanitiser
There will be hand sanitiser available at the entrance and throughout De Montfort Hall and on the University campus. Please use it before you enter and during your visit.
Social distance as much as you can
Wherever possible, please try to social distance from other people when moving around inside the venue and remain responsible during your visit.
Only bring essential items with you
The cloakroom will not be open during the ceremony, so please only bring essential items with you. If you have large bags, there will be limited space to store them in the luggage storage at the front of De Montfort Hall.
Please stay seated after the ceremony
To avoid congestion, please stay seated until you are advised to leave the hall.
