From in person to phone or video calls, email and online to social media, there is always a helping hand whenever you need it. Our Student Support Services are here for you in a variety of ways throughout your studies, and even before you arrive.
You can access specialist advice about student finance, personal and practical issues including accommodation, how to access Hardship Funds, and information on healthy living through the Student Welfare Service. In addition to the Welfare Service, the Standing Together Team works to tackle unacceptable behaviours and will provide support if you are directly affected by them. The team also provides training and awareness raising activities across the University.
The Wellbeing Service offers a range of therapeutic sessions to support you to thrive whilst at university, including self-help resources, counselling and yoga, that can be individual or group based, live or pre-recorded.
Our AccessAbility Centre are there to help if you have a specific learning need such as dyslexia (or any other specific learning difficulty), a disability, or any sort of long term condition. They can also assist with your Disabled Students’ Allowance application and talk with your department about any of your concerns or support that you need.
