Christmas Tree Trail
Take a look around campus at the ten decorated trees and vote for your favourite. Pick up a voting card from the Library reception and be sure to post your vote in the red postbox there no later than 3.00pm today.
In the Students’ Union
- Christmas charity appeal collection, 8.00am–4.30pm, The Square
Christmas is a time for giving, and what better way to show your festive spirit than by giving to those who really need it.
- Christmas crafts and biscuit decorating, 12.00pm–4.00pm, The Square
Get creative with free festive crafts and activities.
In Centenary Square
- Enactus Christmas Market, 11.00am–6.00pm
Lots of great food and drink to buy, to keep you toasty warm. You can also support local homeless charity The Bridge by buying a hot drink from Ernie.
- Ice rink, 11.00am–6.00pm
Completely free! Skates provided! Penguin supports available for the wobbly!
- Carols around the (big) tree, 4.00pm–5.00pm
Gather around the tree to join in well-known carols, led by student performers. Lyric sheets provided (because no-one ever knows the second verse). Followed by announcement of the winning tree on the Christmas Tree Trail.
In the David Wilson Library
- Digital Dickens, 2.30pm–4.00pm, Digital Reading Room
Wrap yourself up warm, grab a hot chocolate and huddle around the crackling digital fire to share some much-loved Christmas writings. You can also bring along something festive that you would like to read.
