Designing Real Utopias

This salon will explore some of the big questions regarding the future of life in the city at a time of rapid social and environmental change. What perspectives can design offer? How can we collectively design structures and processes that improve life in cities? What would urban utopias look like in the light of the challenges we face as a society? Speakers from the fields of social science, design and architecture will discuss these questions and present their work.

  • Kevin Walker (Royal College of Art): RCA Space Programme and Utopia as Method
