We support the research, teaching and learning activities of our students and staff.
David Wilson Library
The Library provides space for individual and collaborative study and extensive digital resources comprising more than 800,000 e-books and 65,000 e-journals. It is home to more than a million printed volumes.
We are committed to working in partnership to provide benefit to our users, influence the development of scholarly communication and support the wider community. We are members of Research Libraries UK (RLUK) which represents 34 of the leading and most significant research libraries in the UK and Ireland.

Archives and Special Collections
The Library has extensive collections of rare books, manuscripts, historical photographs, engraved portrait prints and personal archives. These can be consulted by appointment in our Kirby and West Special Collections Reading Room. A range of our collections may also be consulted online.

Leicester Learning Institute
The Library is also responsible for the Leicester Learning Institute, a dedicated team of Teaching Fellows and professional colleagues, which works to inspire better teaching, learning and assessment.
