Campus development

View of the campus across Victoria Park

We are developing a new estate master plan to deliver a 21st century urban campus as the centrepiece of Leicester’s Educational Quarter.

In order to support the delivery of world-class academic activity and create an environment that fosters collaboration and achievement we need to constantly update and refresh our facilities. This will ensure the University continues to attract and retain the highest calibre staff, students and partners.

Our teaching, research and student experience depends on making better use of the space available to us, while working to deliver the underpinning infrastructure which will allow us to use the new facilities effectively.

We also need to invest to deliver improvements to our campus experience for both staff and students. We will invest in academic and student facilities, including research infrastructure and a much improved public realm, as well as a focus on spaces for social learning and collaborative interaction.

We held two public consultations in advance of submitting planning applications for Brookfield and the Percy Gee Building

Following these consultations, we are presenting our campus development plans to staff, students and the community. Drop in to speak to the Projects and Planning team and the Students' Union.
