Current Issues in Medical Genetics

Cloning, designer babies, gene editing and personal autonomy are examples of the contemporary issues surrounding the study of medical genetics. This module will enable you to view both sides of the ethical arguments surrounding controversies in medical genetics from a scientist’s perspective. By critically engaging with these issues you will learn how to outline the procedures in place for the establishment of laws and guidelines governing key areas of medical genetics.
