Linear Statistical Models

Module code: MA2261

This module covers the general linear model. We will investigate the method of least squares estimation of the linear model parameters, and the methods of making inferences about these parameters through the calculation of confidence intervals and the use of hypothesis tests. An emphasis will be on developing your understanding of how statistical models explain variation. We will examine multiple linear regression, one and two-way analysis of variance, and use statistical software to analyse data using these models.
