Introduction to Computing

Module code: MA2252

The module will introduce the basics of data representation in computers, algorithmic thinking, and programming simple numerical methods. You will gain practical experience of working with MATLAB. Examples given from the 1st year Calculus & Analysis and Linear Algebra modules, as well as from Calculus and Analysis 3 and/or Linear Algebra 3 modules will be discussed. You will have the opportunity to write simple programs in MATLAB to solve mathematical and computational problems.
