Research Design and Methods (with Dissertation Planning)

Module code: GY2414

This module equips you for your independent research project, gearing you up for the dissertation that you’ll submit in Year 3. In this module, you'll learn about how to design and plan a project, what makes a good research question, the ethics of doing research and how to write a dissertation research proposal.  We’ll also introduce to key methods used in Human Geography, such as interviewing, participant observation and visual and archival research methods.  By the end of the module you’ll feel ready to begin your dissertation work.
