Module code: EC1008

Over the course of this module you will build on your knowledge gained in Maths for Economics I and be introduced to more technical mathematical applications.

You will expand on your mathematical techniques by solving simple economic problems using more advanced techniques such as:

  1. Solving simultaneous equations using matrix algebra tools
  2. Applying simple integration techniques
  3. Finding constrained and unconstrained optima

Once these key skills have been establish you will move onto more complex mathematical principles used for financial mathematics and for interpreting first and second order conditions.
