This module will equip you with the essential mathematical tools required for all economists. You will solve both analytical and economic problems by learning how to apply the mathematical techniques listed below: 

  1. Recognising algebraic symbols and manipulating algebraic equations 
  2. Solving linear equations 
  3. Learning what powers, series and inverse functions are 
  4. Resolving quadratic and simultaneous equations 
  5. Familiarizing yourself with basic and partial differentiation by identifying maxima and minima 
  6. Understanding simple log and exponential functions
