This module examines key themes and processes in Latin American history and aims to enhance your understanding of this fascinating region and its place in world history. Throughout the course you'll also compare these key themes and processes in Latin America with parallel developments in the United States.

By telling the story of the American continent from the Latin American perspective, the module also aims to enrich your understanding of key aspects of US history and to interrogate the idea of 'America' itself.
