Module code: MN3127

In this module we will consider the political nature of the economy. This includes reflection on the ideas that shape economic policies, the way such ideas become powerful and the effects policies have on organisations and people. The module focuses on political economic debates of the day such as Brexit and discusses questions such as 'Would Hayek have supported Brexit?' and 'Is Brexit a protectionist project?'. The module will provide you with the knowledge and analytical skills required to understand contemporary political economic conflicts, for example over which shape British international trade and migration policies should take after the exit from the European Union.
