In this module, you will study one ancient source in detail, exploring it from a range of different perspectives. Through lectures, you will gain an in-depth appreciation of not only its content, but also its creation, historical context, and impact on later traditions. Through tutorials, you will develop your research skills using a range of different media and approaches, and will be supported to undertake independent scholarship. Sources will be set by module convenors, and may include sources such as: Homer’s Odyssey, Ovid’s Metamophoses, or the Parthenon sculptures.
