Dr Katalin Egri Ku-Mesu

Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and TESOL
My interests in applied linguistics are wide-ranging and include, but are not restricted to, intercultural communication, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, teacher education, English grammar and English for Specific Purposes.

Mr Jeff Stanford

Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and TESOL
I have a wide range of interests within applied linguistics including sociolinguistics, intercultural communication, ed tech and teacher education. I play the violin in several orchestras in Berlin and the UK.

Dr Agneta M-L Svalberg

Associate Professor Applied Linguistics
I am interested in language learners' Engagement With Language, and I have a passion for grammar. I spend as much time as possible on Crete, usually in the summer.

Dr Julie Norton

Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and TESOL
I have a wide range of interests in Applied Linguistics, particularly materials development for language learning, lesson study to enhance teacher professional development and student learning, ELT methodology and discourse analysis. Outside work, I enjoy going to gigs and traveling.

Dr Mohammed Ateek

Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Language Education
I am interested in multilingualism, language and migration, linguistic issues affecting refugees and migrants and multilingual practices in classrooms. I enjoy stand-up comedy, paragliding and hiking.

Dr Jenny Kemp

Lecturer in Applied Linguistics and TESOL
I have over 30 years' experience teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) and academic English (EAP) in a wide variety of contexts. My research is in the areas of EAP, reading, and Legal English/English for Law. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with aspiring and practising teachers.
