University of Leicester reschedules Ugandan migration history event

A public lecture to mark the 50th anniversary of the arrival of Ugandan Asians to Leicester has been rescheduled.

The University of Leicester took the decision to postpone the event, which was due to take place this Thursday (14 September), following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Migration and the Making of Leicester will now take place on Thursday 13 October at 6:30pm in Lecture Theatre 1, Bennet Building.

The lecture is one of five events celebrating Leicester’s migrant communities. More information about all the events and how to register can be found on the website.
