Certified copies
This is a photocopy or printed scan of an official University document which is stamped and signed to certify it is a true copy of the original.
Certified copies of the following awarding documents can be provided:
- Degree Certificates
- Full Academic Transcripts
The University does not offer an apostille stamp or notary service, this service would need to be arranged through a private company.
To request this service submit an order via the online shop. When placing an order you can reference any additional forms required in the additional requirements section, then email studentservices@le.ac.uk confirming your order number and providing a clear scan of the documents to be certify and any additional forms that are required.
Certified copies are only available where you can provide us with a scan of the original document to certify. This is because while we may hold the necessary data within our records system to verify your award details or module marks, we do not hold hard copies of your awarding documents from which to take a copy.
Official certified copies can only be issued in hard copy and cannot be provided digitally. They may be posted to a third party if the delivery address is provided.
If certified copies of both a certificate and transcript are being ordered, please order one copy with your chosen postage option and then add extra copies using the ‘additional copy’ option to avoid paying excessive postage. If you need us to post these copies to a third party include their address as the delivery address.
Certified copies for World Education Service (WES) verification
Certified copies required for World Education Service (WES) verification can be sent directly to WES by including their address as the delivery address. Add the WES reference number (if known) in the additional requirements section when placing an order. If a WES Academic Records Request Form is required reference this in additional requirements and email the form to studentservices@le.ac.uk.
Documents sent to WES will be stamped and signed on the seal of the envelope.
Delivering to overseas addresses
DHL delivery service may be purchased for overseas addresses, or if a quicker delivery is required. DHL cannot deliver to PO boxes addresses.
