Safe teaching and other face-to-face student contact on campus during COVID-19

This guidance is intended to support teaching staff to deliver face-to-face elements of their teaching safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. It outlines the measures that staff and students should take to protect themselves and others and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, whilst ensuring that learning and teaching can continue effectively. This guidance relates specifically to teaching safely on campus during COVID-19, and is in addition to all other University health and safety policies, procedures and guidance, which must also still be followed.

Who this guidance is for

This guidance is primarily for teaching staff but will also be relevant to other staff engaged in face-to-face contact with students on campus. Although not exhaustive, this would include Careers, Support Services, AccessAbility, Academic Skills, Library, Personal Tutors, teaching assistants, professional services staff in Schools and technicians.
