Winter Wonderland activities
Join us for our annual Winter Wonderland event at the University of Leicester on Friday 8 December 2023, to celebrate the start of the festive period with students, staff, friends and family. We’ll be bringing holiday cheer to Central Campus with a Christmas market, giant snow globe, festive arts and crafts, live music, carols and more!

Grab a bite to eat, enjoy some festive drinks and start your gift shopping with stalls available to purchase from.
Student society live performances
You're invited to come and watch our different music groups perform as part of Winter Wonderland and spread the festive cheer! We’ll also be joined by the University’s very own Chaplaincy.

Attenborough Art Centre Sessions
Take part in a free festive drop-in workshop delivered by Attenborough Arts Centre tutors Jo Shearer and Bonita Keay!
- Christmas Bauble Painting: decorate a bauble in your own unique style, then keep it or gift it!
- Mini Felt Wreaths: make a fabulous funky mini Christmas wreath decoration

Christmas firepit, Tuesday 5 December 2023, 5.00pm - 7.00pm
University of Leicester’s Chaplaincy (on University Road)
Join the friends, students and staff around a firepit in the Chaplaincy garden to celebrate Christmas. Hear the Christmas story. There will be music, mulled punch, mince pies, and marshmallows for toasting. All University of Leicester are students welcome and need to register with your student email address. There will be a free gift on the gate for those with ticket source booking confirmation.
Christmas Crafting: make your own clay decoration, Monday 11 December 2023, 12.00pm - 2.00pm (drop-in anytime)

Come and have a go at making your very own clay Christmas decoration. Free hot chocolates and mince pies will be available!
International Student Quiz Night: 2023 Christmas Edition, Tuesday 12 December 2023, 5.30pm start

Get your team together to take on this festive general knowledge quiz with pizza buffet throughout! The winners will take home the International Student Quiz Night trophy and medals. Please note that there should be no more than 5 people to a team.
